Find the Right Van Accessories for Your Work Van

An Upfit Package with Ranger Design

Getting the most from your work van is easy when you choose the right van accessories to help you become more organized and efficient. Good truck and van accessories will always pay for themselves by allowing you to maximize your cargo space and productivity, while also keeping your most expensive equipment protected.
With so many van accessories to choose from, the best way to find which ones work for you is to take some time to consider your needs. All tradesmen work differently, and every trade has their own basic tools. Make a list of all the equipment that you use daily. Consider ladders, large and small parts, and inventory. With a list in hand, you’ll be able to visualize your needs and determine which of the van accessories below will be the most beneficial.

Van Accessories for Organization:

Paper holdersbottle holders and reel holders are designed to increase organization by giving you a specific spot to store your equipment. Instead of rolling loose on the floor, your bottles and reels can be fastened down and within easy reach from the door. As for your paperwork and files, keep them all together in a paper holder where they won’t get ripped or crumpled.
Partskeepers are a great way to keep your smallest parts together and secured. With small, dividable bins, they offer a great storage system to take with you onto the job site. Sturdy yet lightweight, you can never have too many Partskeepers for your tools.
Storage bins are available in several sizes, and can be accessorized with bin dividers. These are ideal for holding items and inventory so you can find what you need quickly and easily. Like the Partskeepers, if you have many items to carry with you on the job, then these bins are the ideal solution.
Hooks come in several different styles and can be used to organize tools and equipment near the van doors to be most effective. Hard hat holders can keep frequently used hats within easy reach and safely stowed while on the road.

Van Accessories for Driver Comfort & Safety:

Lighting keeps the cargo space bright, making it easy to find your tools, no matter what time of day or night. It also eliminates any chance of receiving cuts and bruises when searching through your tools in the dark.
Rear Steps are extremely beneficial for tradesmen with high roof vans. Climbing in and out several times a day can put quite a strain on your legs and back, especially when carrying heavy items at the same time. The steps also provide a rugged grip in the winter, so there is no fear of slipping when getting in or out.
Grab Handles, like the rear steps, are designed to provide you with easier access into your van. Whether installed in a high roof of low roof work van, it is always useful to have something to hold onto. It can also be used to tie down additional cargo for safe transportation.
Flettner vents help protect you from any gasses/vapors or smells that may build up in the cargo area of your vehicle. It helps reduce heat build-up and allows moisture to escape should any materials or tools be stored while they are still wet. It is a simple way to stay healthy while working.

Van Accessories for Vehicle Security:
Lockable Doors and Drawers provide two advantages. They can better protect your inventory and tools by keeping them in one place on the rougher roads. Also, they can deter thieves and protect valuable tools while you’re on the job and your work van is left unattended.
Wire grills for your windows can also protect you against theft as well as prevent damage to the van during loading or unloading. They are an easy install and such a simple product that just might help save you a lot of money in the future.
Seat Covers help keep your work van seats clean and in good condition. Instead of getting dirt and grease on your seats and staining them permanently, use custom-fit covers that can be easily removed and washed. Come time to sell your vehicle, you will be grateful you kept them in such good condition.
Learn other simple tricks to help Safeguard Your Work Van Against Tool Theft.
Consider the demands of your trade and your needs, and invest in the van accessories that will pay for themselves with the time and money they save.

Rapid Response Unit Truck Body by Expertec

Keep an eye out for the release of our new Truck Body Package... The Rapid Response Unit. Expertec has long been a national leader when it comes to designing and upfitting specialized response vehicles, and the new Rapid Response package is another perfect example of that attention to detail. First, the design begins with the SpaceKap, a fully enclosed fiberglass topper that combines durability and strength and can be easily moved from one standard truck bed to another, even fully loaded. Many emergencies happen in the dark, so a complete LED system was built right in to not only light the area around the vehicle, but also, the interior. The system runs off a 2000 watt power inverter we built right in for you and your team. One of the most useful aspects of our Rapid Response unit is the dual extension slides. These aluminum storage slides are fully customizable and offer your team safe and secure transportation for any emergency equipment. That could be fire extinguishers, SCBA cylinders, air packs, stretchers, hydraulic power packs, or a wide range of specialty tools and equipment. These are so useful, we put two of them onboard to make sure every emergency can be taken care of, whether it’s traditional first response units, like fire, medical, and law enforcement, or supporting critical industries and trades like utilities, fossil fuels, or communications. Each side of the Rapid Response Truck Body has side compartments with a PAC tool board for easy and customized storage, plus angled slide-out drawers with spring assist. The result is a fully enclosed unit that is perfectly upfitted for your team’s needs. We will be releasing more information on our website shortly, or contact us today to discuss your Rapid Response requirements. #rapidresponse #emergencyresponse #truckbodies

Unlock the Full Potential of Telematics: Modern Uses Beyond Tracking

In the ever-evolving landscape of commercial fleet management, telematics technology has emerged as a game-changer. While many are familiar with its role in vehicle tracking, telematics applications have expanded far beyond that. Discover how fleet managers can harness these advanced capabilities to optimize efficiency, cut costs, and streamline processes like never before.

1. Dynamic Route Optimization for Efficient Deliveries Gone are the days of static route planning. Telematics has ushered in a new era of dynamic route optimization, where real-time data is used to adjust routes on the fly. Fleet managers can ensure timely deliveries by considering traffic conditions, weather, and delivery schedules while reducing fuel consumption and vehicle wear and tear. Embracing this technology can lead to substantial savings and improved customer satisfaction.

2. Proactive Maintenance & Predictive Analytics Telematics goes beyond tracking; it's about preemptive maintenance. With sensors gathering data from various vehicle components, fleet managers can identify potential issues before they escalate into costly breakdowns. By utilizing predictive analytics, maintenance schedules can be optimized, reducing downtime, and increasing vehicle lifespan. This proactive approach not only saves money but also enhances fleet reliability.

3. Driver Performance Monitoring and Training Telematics provides a window into a driver’s behavior like never before. From harsh braking to aggressive acceleration, these insights allow fleet managers to provide targeted training to improve driver performance. By promoting safer driving habits, fleet managers can significantly reduce accidents, insurance premiums, and vehicle maintenance costs. This technology empowers fleet managers to enhance overall driver safety and efficiency.

4. Emission Tracking & Environmental Sustainability In an era of increased environmental awareness, telematics is stepping up to monitor emissions. Commercial fleets can use this technology to track vehicle emissions, identify inefficiencies, and implement strategies to reduce their carbon footprint. Fleet managers can align their operations with sustainability goals by optimizing routes, promoting fuel-efficient driving, exploring alternative fuels, contributing positively to the environment, and corporate social responsibility.

5. Cargo Monitoring & Security Enhancement Beyond vehicles, telematics extends its reach to cargo monitoring. Real-time tracking and temperature sensing ensure the integrity of sensitive goods during transit. Fleet managers can receive instant alerts for deviations from optimal conditions, safeguarding the quality and safety of transported cargo. This feature bolsters customer trust and protects against potential losses due to spoilage or theft.

6. Data-Driven Decision Making and Business Intelligence Telematics generates a wealth of data that can be transformed into actionable insights. Fleet managers can analyze trends, identify operational inefficiencies, and make informed decisions to optimize their operations. This data-driven approach enables better resource allocation, more intelligent investment decisions, and improved fleet performance.

7. Integration with IoT and Future Possibilities The world of telematics is constantly evolving, with integration into the Internet of Things (IoT) opening doors to even more advanced capabilities. From vehicle-to-vehicle communication to automated maintenance requests, the future holds exciting possibilities. Fleet managers who stay abreast of these developments can position their operations at the forefront of innovation, gaining a competitive edge in the industry. Driving Forward with Telematics As commercial fleets navigate the challenges of the modern business landscape, telematics emerges as an indispensable ally. Beyond its foundational role in vehicle tracking, telematics offers many advanced applications that redefine fleet management. From dynamic route optimization to predictive maintenance and environmental sustainability, the potential benefits are undeniable. By embracing these capabilities, fleet managers can unlock new levels of efficiency, cost savings, and operational excellence, propelling their fleets toward a successful and sustainable future.
